Utopia Talk is a private messenger by Utopia Systems for a closed circle of users. It's built for situations where full control over communication matters more than convenience at the cost of privacy.

OMEMO is always on — in chats and in calls. There's no "enable privacy" toggle to forget, and none to accidentally switch off.

Who can see my messages?

Only you and the recipient. Messages are encrypted on-device with OMEMO — the server only ever stores and relays ciphertext.

Does Utopia Talk federate with other XMPP servers?

No. Federation is deliberately disabled so the network stays closed, with no uncontrolled points where data could leave.

How do I get access?

Through the Contact section below. Access is granted manually until self-service registration and moderation tools are launched.

Where do I get the app?

You'll receive the Android install link together with your credentials once your request is confirmed.

Do I need a special app?

Yes — Utopia Talk runs on its own Android client, installed separately from the Utopia Systems server, outside third-party app stores.

Is there an iOS client?

Not yet. An iPhone client is in development and will be the next step on the roadmap.

Are voice and video calls actually private?

Yes. Calls are routed through Utopia Systems' own STUN/TURN relay — no third-party cloud services in the connection chain.

Why isn't registration fully open?

Registration is deliberately limited until moderation and self-service recovery tools are ready — that's a control and safety decision, not a technical limitation.
